Tanya + Jeff’s outdoor summer mountain wedding in Kananaskis, Alberta

If there is any take away from Tanya and Jeff’s wedding, it’s that everyone needs to include their dog in the day. We don’t want to brag or anything, but we tag team as great photographers and dog wranglers. Does anyone have a great title for that job description? Dodger was the sweetest furry boy around and could not wait to run laps in the field with his mom and dad. We also should point out that he got walked down the aisle to “You Got a Friend in Me” by Randy Newman… Enough said.

Besides that, Tanya and Jeff’s day went off without a hitch and it was stunning. Looking at all the photos of Jeff seeing Tanya for the first time made for some of the most memorable photos in our portfolio. To us, wedding photos aren’t just about all the portraits which we find a lot of photographers get caught up in. It’s about those moments that each person is experiencing right then, where they don't have a mirror to see their reactions. We could put two people in front of a mountain all day and they would look great — especially these two—, but the most important photographs are the ones with many emotions being displayed.

The day was filled with tears, laughter, Family Feud, and a lot of dancing. In the end, these two got married and get to spend the rest of their lives together. Congratulations, Tanya and Jeff. You two are absolute gems.
