Heather-Lynn + Seth’s winter mountain Wedding in Kananaskis, Alberta

We don’t want to get too mushy, but Heather-Lynn and Seth are absolute gems. We knew when we met them that they were such genuine, sweet souls and that their wedding day would be a special one. It was, and we laughed all day long with them. As you can tell from the photos, it was a little wintery out there. The plan was to have an outdoor ceremony as it was the end of April, but as you can tell from the photos the whiteout conditions put a bit of hitch in that plan. Their team of amazing friends and family put together the ceremony area beautifully and even though you couldn’t see the mountains, it didn’t matter when they were exchanging their vows.

We wandered outside for a few photos before running across to one of the other buildings part of the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. Thankfully it wasn’t too cold and everyone was a trooper. We cozied up next to all the various fireplaces and made sure everyone got to have a casual and fun time with each other.

Their reception details were pretty wonderful. Handmade lavender candles, Star Wars cards, and many photos of them and their families. Heather-Lynn's dad is a super handy guy and built the arch himself along with the fantastic metal mountain sign behind the head table. There was a lot of love everywhere you looked.

One of our favourite moments was once everyone had left to continue the party at another spot in the lodge, we hid in a closet waiting for Heather-Lynn and Seth to share some alone time for an intimate dance. She surprised him big time with this sweet moment after a crazy day. It was pretty surreal to have an empty room with only them in it and some music. These two love each other fiercely, and it shows with all the little touches they exchanged throughout. They will absolutely have a long and amazing marriage together, no matter where they are.
