Heather-Lynn + Seth’s autumn session in Calgary, Alberta

We both knew Heather-Lynn and Seth were going to be a great match with our personalities from the moment we started emailing. You can often tell that a person is kind and genuine digitally, and we immediately got that sense early on with them. Now, in eight days they will make it extra official when they get married, and we cannot wait to document it.

Weddings are stressful and it can be very easy to focus on that aspect. The people pleasing. The unsolicited opinions. The money (!!!). For us, as much as it is our job to document the day and showcase your story, we also try to make it so that we aren’t an added stress. We aim to make sure you’re enjoying yourself and that you are focusing on the main reason why you’re there to begin with… to spend the rest of your life with your best friend. In our opinion, that isn’t generally something thing you get when choosing a photographer for your wedding, but for us, it’s one of the main reasons why we do it.

At their engagement shoot in Calgary, they were hilariously playful and throwing autumn leaves at each other like it was their calling in life. They were worried about being awkward in photos (aren’t we all), but that was not a concern what-so-ever. It was so natural with them, and we hope you can see that through the photos below. They were so caring with each other and through the whole process. They took care of each other and made sure they were both as comfortable as they possibly could be, which in and of itself is a beautiful thing to see in all the couples we meet.

See you next week in Kananaskis for your wedding, you two! Get ready to have some fun.
